Changes, By Pat Hutchins

As a design and construct activity, our class read the book, Changes by Pat Hutchins.  The task after the story was to design a 3-D structure using a specific type of blocks and then to attempt building the structure according to plan.  Unfortunately, there were only so many 'good' building blocks and we had to supplement this activity by using pattern blocks.  The difficulty with the pattern blacks was that they are thin, making it difficult to build high.  I will share with you some of the drawings (designs), as well as a few photographs of the children's constructions.
